A letter from our Executive Director.

Dear Community,

As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, a time of reflection and gratitude, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request. This year, as we have for the past 5 years, our mission at SERA / Fresh Soul is to extend a helping hand on Thanksgiving Day to those in need within the Spokane community.

Thanksgiving is a special occasion for families to come together and give thanks, but for many in Spokane, it can also be a time of hardship and struggle. We know that, even in challenging times, a small act of kindness can make a world of difference. That’s why we are committed to providing Thanksgiving Day Assistance to families who may need it most.

Last year, with your support, we were able to assist over 375 individuals, providing them with food, clothing, and cash, totaling over $37,000 in aid. This year, our goal is to increase our impact and reach 500 people, with a target of raising $50,000. We believe that with your generosity, we can surpass this goal and continue to make a significant difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Led by my faith in God who put it on my heart to do this, I am once again personally contributing $10,000 to this cause. I encourage you to join me in this effort. As Jesus taught us, we are here to serve, not to be served. Your support will directly impact families, not only on Thanksgiving Day but also during the Christmas season and beyond.
