2022 Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway with a Surprise

We had some great helpers for our annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway. Several families came down to Fresh Soul the morning of Thanksgiving to help Mr. Brown hand out 100 meals to those in need on November 24th. Each meal contained a surprise envelope with $100 cash and a $20 gift card to Lowe’s. People were so grateful and it was a wonderful way to spend the morning sharing our blessings with others. Thanks so much to our donors who made this possible: Mr. Brown, DeAndre Cody-Brown, Guy and Nancy, Zane Denison and the Spokane/ Coeur d’Alene Lowe’s, and the Car Wash Plaza on Thor.

From Central Valley High School teacher, Hannah Ekstrom after a visit from Mr. Brown on Martin Luther King Jr. day 2022:

“Mr. Brown spoke at our school (CVHS) for our MLK Assembly this morning, and I just wanted to share the impact Mr. Brown had on our students. Students were captivated by Mr. Brown's testimony and message. Every student in my class said they LOVED the speech. Mr. Brown was uplifting and encouraging. He reminded students (and teachers) that we can amount to more than where we have come from, and he reminded us that being kind to others is our priority on earth. It was a blessing hearing him tell students the truth about God's love for them. Mr. Brown was unifying, and he spoke to every single person listening. I am so grateful for Mr. Brown's time, and I hope to come by Fresh Soul/SERA soon to shake his hand and perhaps volunteer... because I want to be on his team!!! Mr. Brown is welcome in my classroom to spend time with my students anytime! We need more Mr. Browns in the world!
